Strengthening Member Voices and Accountability Across the Network

During November 2025, UNOY’s Regional Coordinators and ISG Representatives gathered in The Hague for the Annual Meeting to reflect on network development and define priorities for 2026, with a strong focus on keeping members’ voices at the center of decision-making while strengthening accountability across the network. Discussions explored practical approaches to decentralization within current capacities, alongside improved mechanisms for protection, accessibility, and inclusion to better support members’ meaningful participation. The team also addressed financial resilience and strategies for navigating funding changes while maintaining transparency and shared responsibility. The meeting included the participation of Vera Al-Mawla, President of Peace of Art and UNOY's MENA Regional Coordinator, who actively contributed to the discussions, reflecting the MENA regional commitment to collaborative leadership and member priorities. The gathering was further enriched by global colleagues who facilitated sessions and fostered connection through shared meals, laughter, and a creative escape room experience, reinforcing a strong sense of solidarity and collective purpose.
