🇱🇧 PEACE OF ART LEBANON SINCE 2016
THE FIRST CHAPTER

Where the Peace of Art journey began.

Peace of Art Lebanon is a nonprofit civil society organization working to build peaceful, inclusive and resilient communities through peacebuilding, dialogue, education, creativity, participation and community action.

What began locally in Lebanon in 2016 would eventually connect with people, partners and organizations far beyond its place of origin.

LOCALLY ROOTED

Peacebuilding starts where people live.

Lebanon is where Peace of Art developed much of its first practical experience: working directly with young people, families, artists, educators, local organizations and communities.

PEOPLE BEFORE PROGRAMS

Local action is not the smallest part of our work. It is the foundation.

Programs respond to the realities around us. They evolve with communities, changing circumstances and the lessons learned through direct experience.

HOW WE BUILD PEACE

Different forms of action. One shared purpose.

Peace is also something we experience.

Community spaces, recreation and collective activities help strengthen relationships and social connection.

03
CONNECTION BEYOND ONE ORGANIZATION

Building space for collective civil society action.

Peacebuilding becomes stronger when organizations can meet, exchange experience, coordinate and advocate together.

WARD — the Working Assembly for Rights and Dialogue — extends this principle by creating a collaborative space for civil society organizations in Lebanon.

PEOPLE MAKE THE WORK POSSIBLE

Programs matter. People matter more.

Peace of Art Lebanon has grown through participants, volunteers, trainers, educators, artists, community organizations, partners and supporters.

Our role is to create spaces and opportunities. What people build through those spaces is where lasting change begins.

06
