Building Connections Across Borders.
Peace of Art USA is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization connecting peacebuilding, education, innovation and international cooperation.
As an independent member of Peace of Art International, the organization helps create relationships between people and institutions in the United States and locally rooted peacebuilding experience across the wider Peace of Art network.
Peacebuilding can be local and international at the same time.
Peace of Art began with community-based peacebuilding experience in Lebanon. As that work developed, relationships increasingly extended to universities, civil-society actors, international organizations and supporters outside the country.
Peace of Art USA was established to provide a permanent nonprofit platform in the United States through which these connections could grow more strategically.
Its purpose is not simply to transfer projects from one country to another. The organization seeks to build meaningful cooperation between U.S.-based institutions and the knowledge, experience and priorities emerging from locally rooted peacebuilding work.
We do not see international cooperation as a one-way transfer of expertise. Knowledge should travel in both directions.
Connecting people, institutions and possibilities.
Peace of Art USA works to strengthen peacebuilding, education and international cooperation by building relationships that connect people, knowledge and institutions across borders.
We seek to create opportunities for universities, nonprofit organizations, foundations, professionals, researchers, young people and communities to learn from one another and contribute to locally grounded approaches to peace and social cohesion.
Build meaningful relationships between U.S. institutions and Peace of Art's international network.
Create opportunities for knowledge, experience and ideas to move across communities and countries.
Strengthen locally rooted initiatives through partnerships, education, expertise and resources.
Bring real community experience into academic, professional and international learning environments.
A bridge between different worlds of experience.
Peace of Art USA is developing a distinct role within the wider network around four interconnected areas.
International Partnerships
We connect universities, foundations, nonprofit organizations, institutions and professionals in the United States with locally rooted peacebuilding experience and international opportunities.
Education & Global Learning
We support exchanges that allow students and educators to engage with real-world questions around peacebuilding, conflict, humanitarian action and community resilience.
Innovation & Digital Learning
We explore how technology, media, storytelling and new educational approaches can strengthen access, participation and learning.
Peacebuilding Exchange
We create channels through which grassroots experience can contribute to wider conversations while international knowledge and resources can strengthen local work.

Cooperation built on clear principles.
Communities should help shape the initiatives intended to serve them.
International relationships should create learning and value in more than one direction.
Participation should include people and perspectives that are often less represented.
Trust requires responsible governance, clear standards and institutional transparency.
Arts, storytelling and innovation can make dialogue and learning more accessible.
Complex challenges require relationships across sectors, disciplines and borders.
Three organizations. One space for cooperation.
Peace of Art International connects three legally independent Peace of Art organizations while preserving the local governance and responsibilities of each.
From purpose to practice.
