Peace of Art USA builds connections between U.S. institutions, education, innovation and grassroots peacebuilding experience across the Peace of Art network.
Some initiatives are directly connected to U.S. partners, while others were implemented locally with U.S. support. We distinguish these relationships clearly so that every project is presented within its real institutional and geographic context.

We do not describe every project supported by an American institution as a Peace of Art USA project. Instead, we identify who supported the work, where it was implemented and what role the wider Peace of Art network played.
University of Michigan Global Scholars Program
Connecting university learning with real-world peacebuilding experience.
Peace of Art has collaborated with the University of Michigan's Global Scholars Program through project-based international learning that connects students with the experience of civil-society organizations working on peacebuilding, youth engagement and community initiatives.
The collaboration creates space for students to examine real organizational questions, work across cultural and geographic contexts, and learn directly from practitioners engaged in grassroots work.
University of Michigan students shared experiences from their collaborations with international nonprofit partners, reflecting on project-based learning, intercultural cooperation and the skills developed through working with organizations such as Peace of Art.
Arabic Creators Digital Learning Through Youth Creativity
Supporting young people to become creators of Arabic-language digital educational content.
Arabic Creators grew from Peace of Art's experience with youth storytelling and creative education and was recognized through the 2025 Ciena Solutions Challenge Sustainability Award.
Through storytelling, digital media, AI-assisted creative tools and multimedia production, participating young people develop content intended to make Arabic educational material more engaging and culturally relevant.
Arts Against Violence Creative Expression for Peace
A U.S.-supported youth initiative combining artistic learning with peacebuilding and conflict-resolution skills.
Launched in Northern Bekaa in 2020, Arts Against Violence brought young people from Kaa, Fakiha, Al-Ain and Arsal into artistic disciplines including drawing, photography, filmmaking, music and theatre.
Alongside creative training, participants engaged with themes such as conflict resolution, communication, mediation and leadership. The project was supported by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.
Participants developed artistic skills while engaging with communication, conflict and leadership themes.
Youth translated their learning into creative productions addressing social issues and experiences of violence.
A youth-created mural at Al-Labwa High School brought messages of peace into a visible public space.
Closing activities presented music, drawing, photography, filmmaking, theatre and other participant work to local audiences.

Partnership does not mean ownership.
Peace of Art works with institutions across different countries. A U.S. funder, university or partner may contribute to work implemented by another Peace of Art organization.
For that reason, this page distinguishes Peace of Art USA initiatives from U.S. partnerships and U.S.-supported programs implemented elsewhere. This allows visitors, partners and donors to understand the role of each organization clearly.
