WARD is a national alliance of civil society organizations and activists. It provides a participatory platform to advance human rights, environmental protection, humanitarian relief, and the broader civil society agenda in Lebanon.
Mission:
Empowering local actors and CSOs to coordinate community-driven work in human rights, the environment, and relief via a participatory platform for dialogue, collaboration, advocacy, and capacity-building.
Vision:
A cohesive and transparent Lebanese civil society, working collectively to serve communities and advance justice, rights, and sustainable development in an environment of respect, legal protection, and good governance.
Objectives:
National dialogue & coordination: convene actors and connect initiatives.
Evidence-based advocacy: legal protection, fair funding, community participation, transparency.
Awareness & capacity building: public campaigns, training, technical support.
Who Can Participate
Participation is strictly limited to Executive Directors or Founders of NGOs that meet the following criteria:
The organization is officially registered for at least two years.
Active in one or more fields of work, including but not limited to:
Peacebuilding and conflict transformation
Human rights and social justiceWomen’s empowerment
Youth engagement and education
Arts, culture, and creative expression
Environmental sustainability and climate justice
Humanitarian relief and community development
Health, psychosocial support, and well-being
Commitment to attend the launching ceremony and to actively participate in subsequent activities and assemblies.
