Peace of Art Strengthens Cultural Diplomacy at European Parliament Event in Dresden

Dresden, Germany – June 6, 2025 – In a symbolic act of cultural diplomacy, Mr. Mahdi Yahya, Founder and Chairman of the International Administrative Council of Peace of Art, participated in the official opening of the new office of Mr. Matthias Ecke, Member of the European Parliament representing Germany’s Social Democratic Party (SPD).

The ceremony, held in Dresden, was also attended by Mr. Aziz Bashouri, labor market expert and Deputy Chair of the Advisory Council for Migrants in the Dresden City Parliament.

During the event, Mr. Yahya presented Mr. Ecke with an olive tree from Lebanon, symbolizing peace and fraternity between Lebanon, Europe, and Germany in particular, with the aim of reinforcing cultural and diplomatic ties.

Peace of Art described the encounter as a positive step toward deepening mutual understanding and cooperation between people. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to promoting just causes through art, culture, and constructive dialogue.
