    Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: Basmeh & Zeitooneh Training on Social Advocacy

    On February 6 and 7, 2025, Peace of Art, in collaboration with Basmeh & Zeitooneh, conducted an intensive training session focused on community engagement and advocacy for social causes. Under the leadership of Mr. Ibrahim Yahya, Executive Director of Basmeh & Zeitooneh, this initiative gathered aspiring youth and prominent women dedicated to enhancing their capacity for social impact.

    The first day's participants examined essential advocacy tools and strategies pertinent to addressing community challenges. The second day featured dynamic discussions and interactive skill-building activities, further reflecting the participants' enthusiasm and commitment. This training is part of the "Refugee Leadership" project, supported by Porticus, aimed at empowering youth with vital knowledge and resources to advocate for human rights and contribute to sustainable development.

    Empowering Youth: Enhancing Engagement in Democratic Processes

    On February 16, 2025, Peace of Art hosted a roundtable discussion titled "Youth Talk" at Al-Hakim Restaurant, Jdeideh, aimed at bolstering youth involvement in the local community. This event convened experts and young participants to deliberate on the significance of youth engagement in democratic processes and policymaking, addressing the challenges they encounter in decision-making environments. Notable contributions included Dr. Hatem Mohi Al-Din's insights on youth roles in governance, Mr. Fayez Okaisha's discussion on inclusivity for individuals with disabilities, and Mr. Ibrahim Yahya's presentation on youth empowerment initiatives by Peace of Art. Ms. Vera Al-Mawla underlined the necessity of ongoing dialogues between youth and policymakers. The interactive nature of the discussion allowed participants to voice their opinions, highlighting pathways for empowerment and enhanced participation in governance.

    On Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Body Café in Alzaytoon, the Peace of Art Association hosted a pivotal roundtable discussion, uniting influential figures and youth interested in digital media. This gathering focused on the crucial role of digital media in community engagement and youth advocacy, highlighting its potential for fostering positive social impact. Key speakers included Ms. Huda Al-Fleiti, a journalist and media student; Mr. Michel Mhanna, Director of the Social Movement Association; Mr. Abbas Al-Hajj Hussein, Director of the Studies Association; Mr. Ebrahim Yahya, Executive Director of Peace of Art; and Ms. Vera Al-Mawla, President of Peace of Art. The dialogue underscored the importance of capacity building among young people, enabling them to utilize social media platforms effectively to express their views and engage in societal issues. This event marked a significant step toward equipping future generations with the tools needed to harness digital media for sustainable development and empowerment.
