Mahdi Yahya
Mahdi Yahya is the Founder of Peace of Art (PoA) and Chairman of its International Committee. His work is driven by a deep commitment to addressing segregation and violence through the transformative power of art. With a background in graphic design and humanitarian activism, he uses creativity to foster peace, unity, and cross-cultural understanding.
He holds a Master’s in Graphic Design and Advertising from USEK (Lebanon) and studied Social Institution Management at IU International University (Germany), combining artistic insight with strategic leadership.
Mahdi has spoken at the European Parliament and participated in international forums like the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Leadership Program and UNDP’s Youth Leadership Programme. Emirates TV AL AAN named him one of the seven Young Changemakers in the Arab World.
Through PoA, he leads initiatives such as “Art Against Discrimination” and “Arts and Culture in Peacebuilding,” promoting dialogue, inclusion, and coexistence.

Vera Al Mawla
Vera is the President and Co-Founder of Peace of Art Intl. She is a youth advocate, and cultural practitioner whose work centers on the intersection of arts, media, peacebuilding, and civic engagement to promote social change and prevent violence. She has led numerous community-driven and research-based initiatives, including with focus on arts-based PVE, sports-based PVE, youth-inclusive advocacy, and trauma response, integrating creative expression, psychosocial support, sports, digital rights, and youth activism. Her work also focuses on interfaith dialogue, electoral engagement & intergenerational dialogue, and participatory research on freedom of expression and civic spaces in marginalized areas.
She has co-directed documentaries, and published training handbooks. Vera has trained young people, caregivers, educators, and CSOs across the SWANA region on peacebuilding, inclusive education, digital storytelling, and leadership. Internationally, she has contributed to high-level discussions and policy making through forums such as the ECOSOC Youth Forum at the UN headquarters, the Doha High-Level Conference on Youth-Inclusive Peace Processes, and the Asilah Arab Youth Forum. She is an alumna of the UNAOC Cultural Leaders Program, UNDP Youth Leadership Program, and the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitors Leadership Program. She currently also holds the roles of MENA Regional Coordinator with the United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY), and Lebanon’s Country Coordinator with the Human Security Collective’s Civic Horizons program.

Paige Webley
Paige Webley serves as the Executive Director of Peace of Art Intl , bringing a deep passion for peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and conflict transformation. Since 2009, she has focused on fundraising and grant writing for global initiatives that uplift young people and promote lasting social impact.
Paige is committed to identifying innovative, practical, and timely solutions that respond to the world’s most pressing conflicts. Her work often takes her across regions where her expertise can directly contribute to building more peaceful communities.
Driven by a vision of a world where current and future generations can live free from war and violence, Paige channels her skills into projects that foster hope, dialogue, and collaboration. Her leadership helps shape Peace of Art’s global strategies and ensures the organization continues to grow in its mission and reach.

Laura Wert
Laura Wert is the Vice President of Peace of Art Intl. She holds a Master’s in Social Sciences from the University of Freiburg and has worked across the Middle East in education, advocacy, and communications—particularly in Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen. Laura’s work centers on cross-cultural dialogue, community-building, and using human connection as a foundation for peace. At Peace of Art, she supports strategic planning and communication efforts that highlight the power of creativity and collaboration in fostering understanding across diverse communities.

Claudia Sauer
Claudia manages the Peace of Art bureau in Germany, overseeing administrative coordination and supporting the organization’s growth in Europe. A trained drafting technician (Bauzeichnerin), she brings valuable experience in office administration and organizational management. Passionate about civil society and intercultural dialogue, Claudia is committed to building bridges between people of diverse backgrounds. Her work reflects a dedication to peace, creativity, and community, contributing to an inclusive and collaborative spirit within Peace of Art’s international network. She plays a key role in strengthening the foundation of the organization’s operations across borders.

Ebrahim Yahya
Ebrahim Yahya is the Country and Executive Director of Peace of Art in Lebanon. With a background in art direction, film production, and human rights, he leads youth-focused projects and facilitates workshops on peacebuilding, storytelling, and conflict resolution. Ebrahim has managed key initiatives such as “Arts Elevate Societies” and “We Play for Peace,” and has contributed to national-level advocacy through reports, including the National Report on Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) in Lebanon. As a professional trainer, he specializes in body language, human rights, and youth engagement through creative expression.

Sabah Houwaiji
Sabah Houwayji serves as the Head of HR& capacity Building department at Peace of Art Lebanon. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Lebanese American University (LAU), earned through a competitive USAID full scholarship in addition to a Master’s degree from USEK, Sabah brings both academic excellence and leadership experience to her role. She has served as a scout leader and was President of LAU’s Safety Awareness Club, reflecting her strong commitment to teamwork, responsibility, and community engagement. At Peace of Art, she supports internal operations and contributes to creating an organized, ethical, and inclusive work environment.

Fatima Krounby
Fatima Krounby is the Head of Finance & Procurement at Peace of Art Lebanon, bringing strong expertise in financial management and a deep commitment to the organization’s mission. With a solid academic background in finance and accounting, she ensures effective stewardship of resources and sustainable support for our initiatives. Fatima also brings valuable knowledge in human resources, contributing to the growth and well-being of our team. Abdelrahim Seddik is the Media Officer at Peace of Art Lebanon, where he applies his expertise in graphic design, photography, videography, and content creation to amplify the organization’s message. He produces dynamic visual content across platforms, combining creative storytelling with technical skill. His work spans branding, motion graphics, video editing, and social media content—ensuring a consistent and engaging visual identity for Peace of Art.
